ABOUT US: THE GREYHOUND AWARENESS LEAGUE
Since 1998, the Greyhound Awareness League (GAL) has been dedicated to rescuing and re-homing ex-racing, ex-working, abandoned greyhounds and lurchers.
The Greyhound Awareness League is dedicated to raising public awareness of the plight of the retired greyhound. Its aim is to encourage members of the public to meet and hopefully adopt greyhounds and lurchers and to dispel many of the myths surrounding these beautiful, gentle dogs. GAL is a non-profit making organisation, run entirely by volunteers, which gained charitable status in March 2001 (Scottish Charity No. SC 031037).
We are a forward-thinking organisation and will continue to evolve with the times. Our one primary goal will remain constant: to continue our wonderful record of re-homing greyhounds and lurchers and to help promote these beautiful, gentle and loving dogs as family pets.
