Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group
The Johnstone Phoenix Theatre Group are celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, and due to the re-building of the Johnstone Town Hall are performing this year’s panto in Linwood Tweedie Hall. We are always keen to expand our audience base please come along and support us.
The show has been written by a local playwright and is sure to entertain adults and children alike
The dates for the panto are:
Saturday 23rd November 2013 – Saturday 30th November 2013 (excluding Sunday the 24th) Matinees on both Saturdays
Matinees – Doors open 1.30pm and curtain up at 2pm
Evening shows – Doors open 7pm and curtain up at 7.30pm

Remembrance Sunday – 10 November 2013 at 12:45pm at the War Memorial. Fr Sean will preside. All welcome
Christmas Lights – Friday 6 December 2013 at 7pm. Annual event for all the family. Expecting a very special visitor from the North Pole and his chief elf so boys and girls must be on best behaviour for the rest of the year! Wrap up well and bring a torch.
Parcel O’ Rogues

Friends and Heroes Club
Friends and Heroes is a club for primary school children meeting every Monday from 3pm to 4.45pm during term time. Children from the local school are picked up at 3 o'clock and walked down to Howwood Church Hall. Children from other schools can be dropped off at the church after school. The children have a snack on arrival then have games, singing, a quiz, arts and crafts all centred around a video of the adventures of Macky and his friends which include stories of heroes from the Bible.
Do come along with your children or grandchildren and see what we do. You will be most welcome!

Semple Rangers meet every 2nd Monday evening at Howwood Parish Church hall from 7pm-9pm. Rangers are part of Girlguiding Seniopr Section and are open to young women aged between 14-26. For any information please contact:
