HOWWOOD WILDLIFE AND WOODLANDS
BUILD A BUG HOTEL SATURDAY 23 AUGUST 2014
You are invited to help HWW build a bug hotel in the Rhombus Garden, opposite the Howwood Inn, on Saturday 23 August 2014 at 11am onwards.
Bring along any materials you think would be suitable, old wood, bricks,slates, hay, plastic bottles, pine cones, canes, twigs cardboard tubes, tubbing etc.
Suitable for all ages and abilities but children must be accompanied by an adult.

HOWWOOD BABY & TODDLERS
Howwood Baby & Toddlers meets every Monday (including School holidays) from 10.00 to 12 noon in Howwood Parish Church Hall, Main Street, Howwood.
The group would be delighted to see any new Boys and Girls with Mums & Dads, Grandparents or carers.
Go along and enjoy a cup of tea and a chat while the children play and make new friends. Only £1 per child which includes all snacks and drinks. The group look forward to seeing you soon.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES GLASGOW 2014
THE QUEEN’S BATON COMES TO HOWWOOD- THURSDAY 17 JULY 2014!
The Queen’s baton for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be in Howwood on Thursday 17 July 2014 from 7:30 am onwards. The baton will proceed down Bowfield Road from Bowfield Hotel and Country Club and onto the Main Street en route to Lochwinnoch. Look out in the local press for final details. It is hoped that the people of Howwood will turn out to welcome the baton.

NEW HOWWOOD CUBS WILL START FEBRUARY 2014
Following on from the huge success of Howwood Beavers, Howwood Cubs will start on 7 February 2014 and Friday evenings thereafter during term time from 7pm-8:30pm.

Friends and Heroes Club
Friends and Heroes is a club for primary school children meeting every Monday from 3pm to 4.45pm during term time. Children from the local school are picked up at 3 o'clock and walked down to Howwood Church Hall. Children from other schools can be dropped off at the church after school. The children have a snack on arrival then have games, singing, a quiz, arts and crafts all centred around a video of the adventures of Macky and his friends which include stories of heroes from the Bible.
Do come along with your children or grandchildren and see what we do. You will be most welcome!
