The grandaddy of retro gaming. We all know how irritating aliens can be, but not more so then when they start wobbling at you.

Infamous worldwide because the graphics are so pathetic. But it thankfully has a high cheeze factor - it's so poor that it's good!

Instructions for Space Invaders

You can move the laser base using these controls on the keyboard:
Space Bar = Fire laser
Left Arrow = Move left
Right Arrow = Move right

If you hit the UFO, you're rewarded with a "mystery" bonus score. It's game over after 3 lives, or if the invaders overrun the barracks. And you only get one shot at a time, so make sure you hit that target!

 

 

  You need the <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" target="_blank">Flash 5</a> plugin to play this game.

 

Instructions for Pong

This version of Pong uses the mouse as a surrogate twiddlestick.
The object of game is to beat your opponent (the computer in this case) by thwacking the ball with your bat, as in real tennis. The first player to reach a score of nine wins the game.

Why are the paddles so hard to control? That's the whole point - you need the skill, otherwise it would be too easy... click the middle of pong to start!

Pets Corner
This is Paddy, she's a girl, and she's getting pretty old now and all she does is sleep and eat, and run away if I'm about. Can't think why! This is me and Travis. He is a real live jackdaw that made friends with me last summer. He is really tame, but I haven't seen him since. This is Charlie, he is a nice big cat, but he wees everywhere. If you don't scare easily, run the mouse over the picture. You have been warned!
These two pictures were sent in by Robert of his two pet rats. This one is called Rascal (he lives up to his name because he has escaped 3 times from his cage). The white rat is called Hector after Robert's Papa. The photo did not turn out right because he is white and the light reflects off his fur. This photo was sent in by Nick of his three dogs playing in the garden.

Here is a picture of Rachel with her 16 week old West Highland Terrier Hamish. Alan and Craig with Kumba. She is an African Grey Parrot very talkative and can bark like a dog!
