Howwood Wildlife And Woodlands Receives £500 Grant From Clydesdale Bank

Howwood Wildlife and Woodlands received a £500 Grant from Clydesdale Bank to spend on much needed seating and paths for the Rhombus Garden outdoor classroom area.

The donation is part of Clydesdale Bank's Staff Volunteer Grant Programme, which provides cash to groups in which employees are involved.  The grants are provided through the Yorkshire & Clydesdale Bank Foundation, a registered charity established by the Banks in 2008.  Christine Scarsbrook, employed within the Technology Division of the Banks, applied for the grant on behalf of Howwood Wildlife and Woodlands.

Christine has been involved with Howwood Wildlife and Woodlands for a number of years and has worked with fellow committee members on the Howwood Triangle improvements project, Howwood Access Pathways initiative and most recently the Rhombus Garden reclamation project.

Christine said "Groups such as ours are always looking to raise funds to support our activities and so we were delighted to receive this grant from Clydesdale Bank."

Howwood Wildlife and Woodlands meet on last Tuesday monthly in the Howwood Inn at 7:30pm if you are interested in joining the committee or wish to donate funds or your time then please come along.  You will be made most welcome.
